A leading Kenyan rapper and his footballer friend risk legal impeachment after a singer recorded a police statement on Friday, with the two being the key suspect in her alleged rape.
The move comes barely three days after the Pulse Magazine reported the incident, in which the female singer was allegedly sexually assaulted by the two celebrity friends after she got intoxicated during a weekend party out.
On Saturday, the singer told Monday Blues that she had recorded a police statement on the controversial sex ordeal that saw her get admitted to hospital for a medical checkup.
According to the singer, the three had been drinking out all night before she became unconscious. She told Monday Blues that she could not recollect what transpired after she got drunk. She woke up naked, alone in a Nairobi hotel room.
She said she had been sexually abused and was not sure who had done it but cited the two celebrities as her key suspects.
The rapper in question is popular for his controversial hits while the footballer plays for one of the Kenyan Premier League clubs.
The victim, who boasts years of experience in the music industry and whose identity we decided to conceal to avoid public embarrassment, told Monday Blues that she was planning to press charges against the two as “they were responsible for me during the outing”.
The incident took place after a much publicized showbiz event, one week ago.
