Seven SSGs gathered for Child’s Rights conference

Seven Nigerian Secretaries to the State Governments of Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Lagos, Ekiti, Ondo, Edo and Delta states, who are also the Coordinating Authorities under the UNICEF B-FIELD Office in Lagos, Nigeria are converging on Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital on Monday for a 4-day conference targeted at Nigerian Children Rights protection and prospects.


According to the Statement signed by Taiwo Adeoluwa, the Secretary to the Ogun State Government and the Chairman of the Planning Committee, the 14th Edition of the Zonal Network for Children (ZNC) meeting of Secretaries to the State Governments and Coordinating Authorities under the Lagos UNICEF B-FIELD Office will be held between Monday  and Thursday.

Adeoluwa said the event, which has the theme: “Fulfilling the Rights of Children: Our Responsibility”, will be flagged off by the Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun on Tuesday at the June 12, Cultural Centre, with Jean Rough, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Country Representative in Nigeria expected to lead UNICEF team to the event.
