The management of Ghana’s fastest rapper and award winning hiplife artiste Sarkodie has denied rumours that the artiste is dead.
Reacting to the gossip, Sarkodie’s business manager, Sammy Forson disclosed that the 2012 BET Best International Act (Africa) co-award winner is “safe and sound”.
Social media last Thursday evening speculated that the hiplife artiste had died through a motor accident on the Kintampo road, in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Both the artiste and his manager quickly took to twitter to speak to the rumours. Sammy Forson brushed it off, insisting his artiste was safe.
Both responses calmed the nerves of fans and family friends who had placed frantic phone calls to ascertain the authenticity of the rumours.
The unfortunate development comes few days to the release of ‘Elijah’, a Hammer of the Last Two-produced single featuring Obrafour, which is part of his upcoming ‘Sarkology’ album.
Sarkodie last year won the Best International Act (Africa) at Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards which took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
