Kidnapped Mother Of House Member Released In Rivers

Mrs Priscilla Chinda, the kidnapped mother of the member representing Obio/Akpor 1 Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Kingsley Chinda, has regained freedom.

The octogenarian, who was kidnapped last week by unknown gunmen at her residence in the Elelenwo area of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, was released by her kidnappers from their hide-out in Abuloma area of the state capital.

Her son, Hon. Chinda told journalists in Port Harcourt that the release was made possible by the   combined effort of security operatives, including the police, the army and the State Security Service (SSS).

He, however, said no ransom was paid for the release of his aged mother

When contacted, the police public relations officer (PPRO) in the state, Mrs. Angela Agabe, a deputy superintendent of police, confirmed the release of Mrs. Chinda.
