This was announced in a press release signed by the JTF spokesman, Captain Eli Lazarus, which was made available to LEADERSHIP in Damaturu, the state capital.
The JTF said after the completion of special operations in Potiskum and its environs, it decided to relax the 24-hour curfew earlier imposed on the town with effect from Wednesday August 7, 2013.
According to the statement, the curfew now starts from 10pm to 6am.
"The JTF appreciates the patience and usual cooperation of the residents of Potiskum and the travellers through the major towns of the state," the statement said.
It, however, wished the entire Muslims ummah a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration, marking the end of the Ramadan fast.
