Secretary of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria in the State of Osun, Prince Gboyega Famodun, has commended all Christian faithful in the state for supporting the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

He disclosed this at the one-year remembrance service, held in memory of Olori Felicia Famodun at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ayetoro in Osogbo, the state capital.

Famodun eulogised the Christian community in the state for its steadfastness and unflinching support it showed the administration since its inauguration over thirty months ago.

He described the departed Olori as a mother with many legacies, saying her memory would for long live in the lives of the children.

In his sermon, Reverend A. Oyewale described remembrance as a period of reflection of those living, saying the living should live a pious life to enjoy God’s grace.

He then charged the children of the late Olori to build on the legacies of their mother, especially in the house of the Lord.
According to the cleric; “life is vanity. If one denounces God or refuses to contribute to the well-being of his fellow man when he posses enormous wealth, such a person is worse than an unbeliever”.

He therefore charged Christians who hold political appointments to always remember Christ in all their dealings with others, either in office or home, saying they would return to the same people after expiration of office.

The children and well-wishers later proceeded to the house of the Famoduns, where a reception was held and dancing, dining and wining dominated the hall.

Commissioner for Information and Strategy in the state, Mr Sunday Akere, Mr Abimbola Farinde, Prince Akingbade Latilo, Mrs Bukola Aderibigbe and others graced the occasion.
