Delta lawmakers in US for leadership training leadership training

Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Victor Ochei, has said that the leadership  training programme  which members of the House are currently undergoing in California, United States of America is to further prepare them for the challenges ahead.

The training at School of Public Policy, University of California, San Francisco, is also being attended by the Clerk of the House, Chief of Staff to the Speaker, some directors and  aides to key officers of the House.

The speaker said: “The training programme is a must for all members of the House as capacity building is a priority to the leadership of the fifth Assembly.”

According to him,  the choice of the School of Public Policy, was because  of the institution’s track record in capacity building training, adding that certificates would  be issued to participants at the end of the programme on August 9.

He said the that House was committed to the growth and development of the state, noting that “the training programme is to further prepare members for the challenges ahead.”
