Abuja, Aug. 2, 2013 (NAN) The police on Friday arraigned three dismissed police officers in a Wuse Zone 2 Chief Magistrates’ Court, for allegedly selling three stolen rams.
The former officers are Grace Antozah, 38; Yahaya Alhaji, 30, and Esther Yahaya, 32.
They were formerly attached to the Karu Divisional Police Headquarters in Abuja.
The Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Mohammed Ahmed, said that on April 13, the matter was transferred from the Karu Police Station to the Maitama Division Police Station, for further investigation.
Ahmed said that the three accused persons who were supposed to help maintain law and order assisted in disposing off three rams at the Kugbo Market, Abuja, knowing that they were stolen.
He informed the court that on April 8, one Musa Tapwa, reported a case of theft in connection with the matter at the Karu Police Station.
