Janet Jackson is the master when it comes to secret weddings. Her last two weddings were all done under the radar. Although her first marriage to James Debarge at age 18 in 1984, was public knowledge, it ended a year later in 1985. Her second marriage was to Rene Elizondo. The two were married for ten years, and the public did not find out until they announced their divorce in 2000. Then earlier this year, Janet squashed rumours that she was going to marry her Qatari billionaire boyfriend Wissam Al Mana in an extravagant wedding, by revealing that they got married last year in a secret ceremony. The newlyweds made Janet, 46, and her husband Wissam, 37 the announcement in February as they attended the Giorgio Armani show during Milan Fashion Week.
Daniel Craig and Rach Weisz
James Bond got married in a ceremony worthy of his secret spy status. Daniel Craig and actress Rachel Weisz met and fell in love while filming the Dream House. They tied the knot at a very small ceremony in 2011. Daniel’s daughter Ella (18), Rachel’s son Henry (4), and two close friends served as witnesses.
Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan
The Facebook’s creator Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla, kept their wedding ceremony very secret that even the guests in attendance were not aware they had been invited to a wedding. Mark and his wife told guests they were attending a surprise graduation party for Chan in May last year. The couple wed just after Chan had graduated from medical school in a backyard ceremony.
Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose
The two secretly had a wedding on July 8. The 25-year-old rapper and his socialite/ video vixen girlfriend Amber Rose, who got engaged in March last year, have a four-month-old son together, Sebastian. The rapper confirmed on Twitter hours after the secret ceremony that he had finally tied the knot, much to the surprise of his fans.
Kerry Washington and Nnamdi Asomugha
The star of the latest hit series Scandal, Kerry Washington, secretly tied the knot with San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on June 24. The two said, “I do” during a hushed ceremony officiated by Minister Chisaraukwu Asomugha.
Kerry’s parents Earl and Valerie Washington signed the license as witnesses to the nuptials. Though the couple had been dating since last summer, their relationship was also kept under the radar. Previously, Kerry was engaged to actor David Moscow for three years until they parted ways in 2007.
Halley Berry and Oliver Martinez
Halle Berry who is currently pregnant at 46, married her fiancé Olivier Martinez on July 13, at Chateau des Conde in Valley, France. This is the third marriage for Berry, who was previously wed to baseball player David Justice (from 1993 to 1997) and to R&B singer Eric Benet (from 2001 to 2005). She started dating Canadian model Gabriel Aubry in November 2005 and welcomed their daughter Nahla in March 2008. Berry and Aubry confirmed their split in April 2010. Following the break up, Berry met Martinez on the set of Dark Tide. The couple got engaged in March last year, and recently revealed that they are expecting a baby boy together this fall.
