A manager of a filling station was Tuesday arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate Court, for allegedly stealing N10 million.
The suspect, Oluwagbenga Ajobi, 22, who resides at Egbeda , is facing a four-count charge of conspiracy, stealing, alteration and forgery, preferred against him by the police.
Ajobi, who was the manger of Al- Moruff filling station, was docked before Magistrate Eniola Fabamwo.
Police prosecutor, ASP, Barth Nwaokoye, said the defendant, committed the alleged offence between January and June 2013, at Al- Moruff filling sation located at Orelope, in Egbeda area of Lagos.
He said the defendant conspired with others at large with intent to alter the company’s voucher.
Nwaokoye told the court that the defendant forged the company’s director’s signature to steal the alleged sum.
The prosecutor also claimed that Ajobi stole the sum of N10 million belonging to Al- Moruff filling station.
According to the prosecutor, the offence committed was punishable under section 409, 333, (2) (a) and 361 (1) (a), 363 (3) (1) and 285 (8) of the criminal laws of Lagos state of Nigeria 2011.
However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the four-count charge levelled against him.
Magistrate Fabamwo granted the defendant bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case to September 30, 2013, for mention.
