APC, The only national party in Nigeria – Adesina

The newly registered All Progressives Congress has been described as the only true national party in Nigeria at the moment. Comrade Wale Adesina, a chieftain of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, and the Secretary to the Local Council Olorunda Local Council Development, Lagos State, made this assertion earlier today while addressing party members in preparation of official lunching of the Local Government of the newly formed party, All Progressives Congress.

He described the emergence of the new party and her eventual registration, after a careful planned victory over the PDP sponsored phantom APC, as victory for democracy. He state that APC registration has now thrown the ruling PDP into total confusion.

His words; “the All Progressive Congress appears to be the only national party in the country, having over fifty percent membership in all the 36 states of the federation. According to him, the PDP is gradually becoming a shadow of the past having lost the grip in all the southwestern states in the country and other major states of the six geo-political divides of the country.

The thirteen governors of twenty progressive governors in Nigeria have a firm grip of the state under the APC, thus making the former assumed national party grossly unpopular in Nigeria. Similarly, considering the crop of credible politicians across the ethnic nationalities in the country that once again sheathe their pride to form the party; APC has come, not just to stay, but to become the ruling national party in Nigeria,” he concluded.

In view of this, Prince Adesina predicted that soonest, the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party will become an opposition party in Nigeria.
