An Ojo Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, Monday, ordered 13 tricycle operators to wash the vehicle of Chief Magistrate Taslimi Shomade for alleged unlawful assembly.

The accused are Francis Levi, Vitus Nwafor, James Okpara, Chima Ohi, Emeka Anigboso, Ifedi Unachukwu, Uche Duru, Charles Uzoigwe, Simeon Ngene, Chidi Amadi, Anthony Okoro, Linus Nwawurum and Sunday Nwankwo.

They were arraigned on March 7 on a four-count charge of conspiracy, breach of peace, unlawful assembly and assault.
The prosecutor had told the court that the accused were arrested on March 5 at Ilogbo bus stop, Ajangbadi, over alleged unlawful assembly and breach of peace.

They had pleaded not guilty to the charge and were granted bail in the sum of N100,000 each with two sureties each in like sum.
Shomade struck out the case for want of diligent prosecution.

He, however, ordered the court officials to provide buckets, rags and detergent for the accused to wash his car as a form of community service.
