Gossip: The sunbathers who cook themselves funny side up!

Summer has officially arrived and beaches and parks are filling up with people desperate to enjoy some sunny rays on their skin.

But spare a thought for these hapless sunbathers who swapped sunblock for straight sun and ended up a painful shade of crimson along with some interesting skin markings.

Smiley faces seem to be a popular choice for many of the subjects - perhaps some of their friends played a prank by only applying suncream on their chest as they slept in the sun.
