News: Ramadan, Igbo leader tasks Muslim on national unity

Chief Charles Ejemeka, Igbo community leader in Sokoto has called on charged Muslim community to use the Ramadan period to strengthen national unity.

Ejemeka  on Tuesday in Sokoto said that the country was in dire need of God’s intervention in its current travails.

He urged Muslims to offer special prayers for God’s guidance to enable leaders move the country forward.

He noted that the current security challenges facing the country would be overcome only if we collectively seek divine intervention.

“We should, irrespective of religious and political differences, come together to seek God’s intervention in all the happenings in our country today,” he said.

He said that it was only by so doing that the senseless killings in some parts of the country would be curtailed.

He also called on Nigerians to assist the security agencies with intelligence reports that could lead to the arrest of miscreants in the society.
