The House of Representatives, yesterday, accepted the challenge by former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, for a public debate over members’ salaries and allowances.
In doing so, however, the House said that the former Minister must be ready to comply with certain rules and divorce what it called “an out-of-office syndrome.”
But in another stance, the House carpeted Ezewkwesili, describing her recent outburst on the National Assembly as being prompted by avarice and unrestricted ambition to re- launch herself into political space.
The position of the House was contained in a statement released by the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Mr. Victor Ogene.
