According to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), ASP Lawrence Ogoegbulem of the Oleh Division, the abandoned baby girl was recovered, based on information reaching them at an isolated location close to a residential building at Oleh, midday last Tuesday.
He disclosed that the baby was brought to the station with blood stains all over her body and was immediately sent to the Central Hospital Oleh for medical attention.
As at the time of filing in this report, the baby has been taken to a government approved welfare/orphanage home in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area, while investigation is on to unravel the whereabouts of the mother.
