NFA’s Director of Competition, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, made the promise at a news conference in Abuja after the recommendations were approved by the association.
He said that although some sanctions were not strictly enforced in the past, “this verdict will surely be enforced through the security agencies and the league board.
“The issue of enforcement of sanctions had always been a problem and an embarrassment to us but I want to assure you that this time around, there is going to be total enforcement of what is being pronounced.
“If there was no enforcement in the past, this time around nobody is going to get it funny and that is why we are scanning the photographs of those involved for total enforcement of the sanctions against them.’’
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Plateau United Feeders of Plateau State, Akurba FC of Nasarawa State, Police Machine FC of Adamawa and Bubayaro FC of Gombe have been banned from sporting activities for 10 years.
Sanusi said the names of all the parties involved would be published and copies given to security agencies so as to track down any of them who might want to change identity.
“We are scanning the pictures of the players to send to all the security agencies and the leagues.
“All the names and parties involved will be published and copies given to security agencies and of course when you are registering in the nationwide league, you must come with your photographs.
“So when we say we are banning, we are banning and we will work hard to enforce it.
“There were no exemptions, they were busy trying to defend the number of goals scored, nobody was saying otherwise.”
Sanusi stated that the Coordinator of the centre, Alhaji Tanko Maiyaki, also a Board Member of the Nigeria Nationwide League (NNWL), was found wanting and had been referred to the league board for appropriate action.
It added that the NNWL should adjust its programmes to accommodate the Bauchi Centre with new teams and should properly supervise the play offs.
