Sport: He's done it! first British man to win Wimbledon after 77 years

Andy Murray today made history as he stormed to victory against Novak Djokovic on Centre Court in the Wimbledon men's singles final.

The 26-year-old won in three straight sets, taking the first 6-4, the second 7-5 and the third 6-4 as millions around the country watched. At times, the tension in south-west London ratcheted to an almost unbearable level - no more so than in the final game as he conceded a string of championship points, before finally clinching victory to the delight of fans and girlfriend Kim Sears.
